Thank you so much for reading my blog! My name is Elaine. I have been having gut issues over the past 8 years and it got progressively worsened in the last 2 years. I started this blog to document how my gut feels, and to share my learnings in improving gut health. I’m sure there’re plenty of people out there who share the same frustrations as mine when it comes to gut issues. So I hope this can turn into a place where we can learn about gut health together!
I studied Food and Nutrition Management in college before I went on a slightly different path to Food Science at University of Guelph. I now work as a Food Scientist in my day job where I develop innovative food products. People always joke that Food
Scientists know how to make food taste good and stay fresh longer but the food they develop is gotta be so bad for you. Whereas Nutritionists know how to choose food that are better for you but their food’s gonna taste so bad! Well, I think I’m a pretty good cook and can make healthy food taste good!
In my spare time, I love experimenting on new recipes, travelling, listening to podcasts and reading about the latest food and health trends. I also like hiking and practicing
yoga. Ironically, I also have a side hustle where I sell homemade cheesecakes (dairy, wheat, & sugar are not a good combo with gut health!). Truth is, I just love baking and making other people’s life a little sweeter!
